Terms of Service

TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to programs, courses, coaching, mentoring, workshops, communities, digital resources, and other services offered by The Expansion Project Online Inc. ("The Expansion Project," "we," "us," or "our").

By purchasing, registering for, accessing, or participating in any of our programs or services, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Our Services

The Expansion Project provides educational, coaching, personal-development, and transformational programs and resources. Individual programs may include live teaching or coaching sessions, recorded materials, books, workbooks, guided practices, online communities, digital resources, and other supporting materials.

Specific program inclusions, schedules, duration, pricing, and payment arrangements will be provided at the time of purchase or registration.

  1. Eligibility

You must meet any eligibility requirements stated for the particular program or service you purchase.

You are responsible for providing accurate registration and payment information and for ensuring that participation in the program is appropriate for your circumstances.

  1. Payment

All fees are stated in the currency identified at the time of purchase.

By enrolling, you authorize us or our payment processor to charge the payment method provided according to the payment option you select.

If you select a payment plan, you remain responsible for all scheduled payments unless you exercise an applicable cancellation or refund right under these Terms or applicable law.

Failure to make required payments may result in suspension or termination of access to the program, community, materials, or services.

  1. Three-Day Refund Policy

We want you to be confident in your decision to participate.

You may cancel your purchase of any program for any reason within three (3) calendar days of purchase and receive a full refund. For an in-person workshop or program, you may

To request cancellation, you must notify us in writing

at info@theexpansionproject.com within the three-day period.

After the three-day refund period has expired, program fees are non-refundable except where otherwise required by applicable law.

If you received physical program materials before cancelling, we may require those materials to be returned in substantially their original condition where permitted by law. Instructions will be provided at the time of cancellation.

Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation, refund, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived under the laws applicable to your purchase.

  1. Program Participation

Our programs are designed for active participation. You are responsible for your own attendance, engagement, implementation, decisions, and results.

Missed sessions do not normally entitle you to a refund, credit, extension, or replacement session unless otherwise stated for the specific program.

We may make reasonable changes to session dates, facilitators, delivery methods, materials, or program structure when necessary. If a significant change affects your ability to receive the service purchased, we will address the situation reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Educational and Coaching Service

Unless a particular service is expressly identified otherwise, The Expansion Project's programs and materials are provided for educational, coaching, and personal-development purposes.

Participation does not create a physician-patient, psychologist-patient, therapist-client, lawyer-client, financial-advisor-client, or other regulated professional relationship.

Our programs are not a substitute for medical care, mental-health treatment, crisis services, legal advice, financial advice, or other professional services when those services are required.

Participants should seek appropriate qualified professional assistance for concerns requiring diagnosis, treatment, professional assessment, or regulated advice.

  1. No Guarantee of Results

Personal and relationship outcomes depend on many factors, including circumstances outside our control.

Testimonials, examples, case studies, and descriptions of participant experiences illustrate individual experiences and do not guarantee that you will achieve the same or similar results.

For relationship programs in particular, we cannot guarantee the decisions, actions, feelings, responses, or behaviour of a spouse, partner, family member, or any other person.

We provide education, tools, coaching, practice, and support. You remain responsible for how you use them and for the decisions you make.

  1. Personal Responsibility

You retain full responsibility for your choices, actions, relationships, health, finances, career, and personal circumstances.

Participation in a program does not transfer responsibility for personal decisions or their consequences to The Expansion Project, its directors, employees, contractors, coaches, facilitators, practitioners, or representatives.

  1. Community Standards

Some programs include group coaching, live discussions, or private online communities.

Participants are expected to communicate respectfully and protect the privacy of other participants.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, deliberate disruption, solicitation, unauthorized promotion, or conduct that materially interferes with the experience or safety of other participants may result in removal from a session, community, or program.

Where reasonably necessary to protect participants or the integrity of the program, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate participation. Any refund, if applicable, will be determined in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

  1. Confidentiality in Group Programs

We ask every participant to respect the confidentiality of information shared by other participants.

You agree not to record, reproduce, publish, post, distribute, or disclose another participant's personal story, identity, image, comments, or confidential information without their permission.

Because group programs involve independent participants, however, The Expansion Project cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Please use appropriate discretion when sharing personal information in a group environment.

  1. Recording of Sessions

Certain teaching or group sessions may be recorded for program delivery, training, or participant access.

Where a session will be recorded, participants will be informed as appropriate. Additional consent will be obtained where required by applicable law or where recordings are intended for purposes beyond ordinary program delivery.

You may not independently record program sessions without our prior written permission and, where applicable, the permission of other participants.

  1. Intellectual Property

All program content and materials provided by The Expansion Project—including videos, audio recordings, presentations, processes, frameworks, exercises, workbooks, written materials, graphics, course content, and digital resources—are owned by or licensed to The Expansion Project and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your purchase provides you with a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own personal purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, teach, distribute, upload, publish, modify for commercial use, or create derivative commercial products from our materials without prior written permission.

Your access may not be shared with another person.

  1. Technology and Online Access

Online programs depend on third-party technologies and internet services. While we take reasonable steps to provide reliable access, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms, video conferencing systems, community platforms, payment processors, or internet services.

Participants are responsible for having suitable internet access and compatible equipment.

  1. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

By using our services, you acknowledge that information may be processed through third-party platforms necessary to deliver our programs, process payments, communicate with participants, or operate our business.

  1. Communications

By registering for a program, you agree to receive communications reasonably necessary to deliver that program, including scheduling information, access instructions, program materials, reminders, and administrative notices.

Marketing communications will be handled separately in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Expansion Project and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, facilitators, coaches, practitioners, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in or use of our programs, services, or materials.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so is prohibited by law.

  1. Third-Party Services

Our programs may use or provide access to third-party platforms, websites, applications, books, resources, or services.

We are not responsible for the availability, security, content, policies, or actions of independent third-party providers.

  1. Program Changes or Cancellation by Us

Occasionally, circumstances may require us to reschedule a session, change a facilitator, modify delivery arrangements, or make other reasonable program adjustments.

If The Expansion Project cancels a program and does not provide a reasonably comparable alternative, participants will receive any refund required under the circumstances and applicable law.

  1. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where a participant materially violates these Terms, fails to make required payments, infringes intellectual property rights, seriously breaches another participant's privacy, or engages in behaviour that threatens or materially disrupts the program or its participants.

Termination does not eliminate payment obligations already incurred, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you based on where you live.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the courts or other appropriate forum having jurisdiction under applicable law.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, or legal requirements.

The Terms applicable to a particular purchase will generally be those presented or made available to you when you entered into that transaction, except where a change is required by law or agreed to by the parties.
