The Spring Melt
|
In this week's video I share my personal story about how over the years I categorized my experiences into four distinct boxes, and how these very same boxes left me feeling fractured and disconnected from myself.
Through the melting of these boxes over the last two years, my world has opened and my journey of consciousness has exploded, the impact of which I feel both personally and professionally.
And today, as I am cozied up at my sister's place with her triple three-year-olds running around, I want to talk to you about new beginnings.
Today is Navroz, the Persian New Year and festival of Spring, and there will be much merry-making tonight in my family and for all those around the world who mark this powerful day that symbolizes of the end of the dark days and return of the sun.
Today is the beginning of the planting season, so what are you hoping to plant?
As a budding gardener who grew up in the Prairies, Spring is an exciting time for me. Navroz in particular is really special for those of us who have grown up enduring long, cold, dark winters, whether physically or metaphorically.
This is a time of coming alive again, time when the freeze begins to melt and the hope of summer is on the horizon.
It's a transitional season, one in which there is muck and runoff, not for the delicate blooms of summer or the vibrant festival of autumn colours, but the hardy and persistent green of new shoots as they find their way through months of packed ice.
This is a time of beginnings, a time of grit, a time of pulling ourselves out of the long slumber.
On this first day of the New Year, we step in with fresh eyes, hopeful hearts, holding the hands of our loved ones, and get curious about the new shoots - evidence of what we planted before the dark days descended.
Today, I wanted to share with you what is emerging at The Expansion Project, inviting you to observe the new shoots that were planted some time ago.
Last week, I told you that there are three ways to go deeper into your consciousness journey, and I shared with you the first way: Consciousness 101 a short, self-paced course that offers the principles surrounding The Presence Protocol.
Today, in the spirit of new beginnings, I want to tell you about the second way.
On this auspicious day of Navroz, we wanted to announce our first live event: Living the Inspired Life.
This is a half-day interactive seminar in Salmon Arm, BC where Texas and I will be introducing you to a basic framework and simple tool that changes the narrative on inner work - similar content to what we teach in Consciousness 101 but with a bigger emphasis on the lived experience of alignment with audience engagement and demonstrations.
Texas and I really thrive in front of a live audience, and we are so thrilled to be hosting this event in our own town in the Shuswap (a wonderful vacation destination for those willing to travel....just saying!)
For those ready for the interactive component and who would rather see us face-to-face, make sure to select an In-Person Ticket when registering. This seminar will also be live-streamed.
Here are the details:
Date: Saturday June 7, 2025
Time: 1:00 - 5:00 pm Pacific

In the weeks to come, I will keep referencing back to these three different ways to go deeper (only two have been revealed yet!) and would encourage you to check inward to see which of them is the right step for you, if any. It's like offering you some delicious, homemade treats as you sit in my living room - I love them, but no pressure if you don't!
Enjoy this first day of Spring, and as they say in the Persian tradition: "Navroz Mubarak - Happy New Year!"
Yours In The-Season-Of-Melting,
Dr. Saira
