Inner Compass Pathways:
THE SERVICE PATH

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Expansion Project, in partnership with the Advanced Consciousness Therapy Society, has developed a clinically-informed, consciousness-based, and trauma-aware 8-week immersive training program designed to support frontline workers in reducing burnout, restoring emotional resilience, and accessing greater clarity, presence, and confidence in their professional roles. This interactive online training helps shift helpers and caregivers out of chronic stress responses and into a grounded state of alignment where sustainable service becomes possible.

Participants receive a copy of the newly released book, The How, which anchors the weekly teachings in a deeper framework of evidence-informed principles. The book provides extended insights, supporting research, and practical tools that enrich the live sessions and remain accessible after the program ends.

TRAINING STRUCTURE: Thematic Breakdown by Week

Week 1 – Crafting the Container
Establishes group trust and psychological safety. Through guided agreements, participants co-create the conditions for a supportive learning space and are introduced to foundational language and frameworks used throughout the training. This week emphasizes relational repair, collaborative inquiry, and normalization of diverse frontline experiences.

Week 2 – Exploring Communication

Examines how body language, tone, and unconscious signaling impact relationships with clients and colleagues. Participants learn to discern when they are communicating from alignment versus protection and are introduced to tools for restoring coherence in charged interactions.

Week 3 – Grounding

Introduces simple yet powerful body-based techniques to help regulate the nervous system in real time. Participants learn to recognize stress activation and apply The Presence Protocol™ and related practices to return to a calm, grounded state—especially when under pressure.

Week 4 – Practical Applications

Participants begin integrating a new internal model for working with clients—one that prioritizes presence over performance. This includes tools for maintaining inner alignment even while navigating external chaos, with real-world examples drawn from social work, healthcare, education, and emergency response.

Week 5 – Authenticity

Focuses on how to remain authentic while still upholding professionalism. Participants explore the tension between role-based behavior and genuine self-expression and learn how aligned presence enhances rather than undermines credibility and effectiveness.

Week 6 – Capacity

Guides participants to identify their true emotional, energetic, and practical capacity in service-based roles. Strategies are introduced for managing time, energy, and emotional reserves—without guilt or fear of judgment—so that burnout can be prevented rather than managed.

Week 7 – Accountability

Expands the understanding of ethical responsibility to include internal accountability. Participants practice making aligned referrals, asking for help when needed, and discerning between what is theirs to carry and what is not.

Week 8 – Theory to Practice

Each participant creates a customized Moving Forward Road Map that integrates insights from the training. This roadmap becomes a living guide to continued alignment in their professional and personal life, helping them stay connected to their own well-being while offering meaningful support to others.

EVIDENCE-INFORMED APPROACH

The program blends the latest in trauma-informed psychological science (including polyvagal theory, co-regulation, and subconscious adaptation) with consciousness-based practices that restore alignment between mind, body, and spirit. These approaches are detailed and contextualized in The How, allowing participants to deepen their understanding beyond the live sessions. Participants are taught how to shift their state in the moment—not just through reflection after the fact—enabling them to meet high-stress situations with greater clarity, compassion, and sovereignty.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

·       Respond rather than react in emotionally charged situations

·       Restore nervous system regulation during and after difficult encounters

·       Use intuitive knowing as a valid and embodied leadership tool

·       Hold healthy professional boundaries without emotional shutdown

·       Shift out of inherited “helper” adaptations (e.g., over-giving, compliance, control)

·       Model relational safety and authentic presence for clients and teams

·       Experience their role not as a drain, but as a place of purpose and clarity

·       Increased group cohesion and collaboration for multi-disciplinary teams

Testimonials

“Being in the group program was transformative in a way that was beyond my expectations; not only did it change my professional practice, but it changed my life. The way I relate, express, and

communicate is aligned with who I am, and I can manage my caseload without overwhelm.”

- Danielle Downs, Registered Social Worker, Vernon, BC

“In this program I experienced a space to reflect, reset, and reconnect with my heart. After years as paramedic, it helped me recognize some of the stress patterns I’d normalized, the adaptation I

formed, and offered practical tools to shift them. The guidance felt relevant, down-to-earth, and

reminded me that caring for others starts with caring for myself."

- Rick Wiebe, First Responder (Paramedic), Linden, Alberta
